The District
The very elegant 7th district on the "Rive Gauche" (left bank) includes the Faubourg Saint Germain from the Eighteenth Century and its feature constructions.
The Eiffel Tower, build in 1889, is the most famous symbol of Paris. It offers a magnificent view of the whole city up "Montmartre" and "Sacré Coeur". Nearby, the mansions are luxurious and secretive. There are courtesy of small wells, lavish homes with large balconies and the richly decorated riants faces carved in stone.
Built at the request of Louis XIV,the Hotel National des Invalides houses the Church of the Dome, which has become a Pantheon for French military glories under Napoleon 1st.
The Alexandre III Bridge is a link across the Seine between the 7th and the 8th disctricts of Paris. It is a symbol of French-Russian friendship between Tsar Alexander III of Russia and the President of the French Republic Sadi Carnot. It was build for the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1900.
